Watercolor "Keep on Dancin'" Hawaii artist Arlene G. Woo

Cactus Bistro in Kailua, Oahu lets us display Day of the Dead paintings in October.  It's a chance to have a little fun painting from our imagination.  This one, "Keep on Dancin'" is meant to motivate us to be happy.  It's a small image: 10x 14.  Contact me: Arlene G.Woo

Watercolor "Playful Pup" by Hawaii artist Arlene G. Woo

My seven year old granddaughter "commissioned" me to paint this for her.  She kindly said, "There's no due date."  However, three days later she asked if I had started the painting.  Luckily, she loves it, but her next question was, "Where's the nearest frame shop?  Don't worry you don't have to pay for it."
Actually it was fun to paint because I had the right watercolor and it is for someone I love.

Watercolor and acrylic, "Playtime" by Hawaii artist Arlene G. Woo

Iona Pear's "Paint by Numbers" was such fun, I had to try putting paint on people myself: first in watercolor and then enhanced with acrylic.  It's a half sheet : 22x15" on Fabriano.

Water media, Koi, "Red Koi" by Hawaii artist Arlene G. Woo

As you may notice, I like to paint koi.  There is something about the way they glide through the water that relaxes me.  This piece actually has a bit of collage.  It's small - 9x7.5" but it is striking.

Water media, dog portrait, "Charlie" by Hawaii artist Arlene G. Woo

A cute little border terrier in my dog agility club inspired this image.  Her name is not Charlie, but this guy looks like a Charlie to me.  I would be happy to paint a portrait of your pal.  Contact me:
