Sudden Storm - Original Watercolor by Hawaii artist Arlene G. Woo

This image was selected by Juror Eric Weigardt for the Hawaii Watercolor Society's Members show at the Arts at Marks March 29 - April 23, 2011.  I combined pouring with brushwork and watercolor crayon to create this image.  I love images that suggest various media to me.  Look for this one on Hawaii 5-0 somewhere in the show.  There's another vertical that they are using!  Image: 22"x30" available unmatted, unframed $600

Happy Happy! Original Watercolor

This is the second painting inspired by the Lion Dances for Chinese New Year.  I could not resist putting the "Double Happiness" symbol in the upper left corner.  Seeing my three year old granddaughter's pleasure watching the lions and offering them lycee for good luck did indeed create double happiness.
The watercolor is 11"x11"  Prints may be ordered on Fine Art America

Dance for Luck - Original Watercolor

After watching six lions dance at the Chinese New Year Celebration at the Chinese Cultural Center, this image just flew from my brush.  It was so much fun to be in the midst of the banging music and expectant crowd.  This image is 11"x11" . The original is SOLD but prints may be ordered at
