I made this 6"x6" image using hot wax in an ancient method called "encaustic". We melt the wax and apply with a brush and then fuse the wax to the layer below with a heat gun. Too much heat and the wax just slides away! But the process is really fun because you never quite know what you are going to get. email Arlene G. Woo
