Splash!, Hawaii Artist, Arlene G. Woo

I still like to paint seascapes.  This one is a bit more abstracted.  Hope you like it.  I painted it wet on wet on hot press paper, so pretty much by first pass.  The watercolor is 15"x22"

It really is a big wave!  Look at our Hawaii surfer!  I love the blues of the ocean and its power.

Made It! Watercolor by Arlene G. Woo

With my son and son-in-law both enjoying surfing, I am drawn to painting waves.  It took me a while to get them right, but I think I've done it "artistically".  Let me know what you think.  Painting on hot press is a LOT different from working on cold press -- not as forgiving.  But I love using the blues which surround our Oahu.  Image: 15"x22", available for $400 unmatted, unframed.  Let me hear from you, Arlene G. Woo
