Watercolor Pigs "Little Piggy" by Hawaii artist Arlene G. Woo

In honor of the Year of the Pig 2019 my friend Frances and I painted pigs for a show at Louis Pohl Gallery in Honolulu.  "Little Piggy" is a small framed watercolor.  She would make a nice addition in some little pig's room.

Watercolor and acrylic, "Playtime" by Hawaii artist Arlene G. Woo

Iona Pear's "Paint by Numbers" was such fun, I had to try putting paint on people myself: first in watercolor and then enhanced with acrylic.  It's a half sheet : 22x15" on Fabriano.

Water media, Koi, "Red Koi" by Hawaii artist Arlene G. Woo

As you may notice, I like to paint koi.  There is something about the way they glide through the water that relaxes me.  This piece actually has a bit of collage.  It's small - 9x7.5" but it is striking.

Abstract, Rorschach, Hawaii Artist Arlene G. Woo

I often see images hidden in my paintings; most of the time they appear by themselves.  I put them on my wall before I decide I'm finished.  As I look at them, I see various images.  Take a look and see what you see.  I'd love to hear about what you see. Write me: arlenesart@gmail.com
